Goodreads Synopsis: A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.
R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.
Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.

REVIEW
I picked this book up because of the #YTBookClub and of course because of the film. Even though some people did not like the story... I actually did like it. I thought it was a pretty entertaining and interesting (and a little strange) take on a zombie apocalypse situation. Not to mention the Romeo Juliet take on the story just like Romeo and Juliet's tragic love story the main characters cannot be together because of there backgrounds (Zombies cannot be with humans and vise versa.)
In my opinion this book was a very enjoyable read. It was funny entertaining and overall unique. I hadn't read a lot of zombies books or any zombie books, but from the films and other adaptations of zombies this is the first time I've seen a human-like-take take on zombies... So if you like zombies to be brain eating zombies then do not pick up this book, but if you want a unique take on the on zombies then pick up this book this book.
Despite the storyline the book was really well written. From the first sentence I was hooked on the story I found this book to be really refreshing read. I also enjoyed the zombie characters R was an awesome zombie protagonist (maybe because he was my first) But i really did like his character... Now Julie not so much. Not that I had anything against her is just that her language wasn't my favorite I felt like she was always cursing for no reason... Either then that she was okay. I actually think I liked the zombies over the humans I found the more "alive" than the humans were If that makes any sense.
Another thing I didn't really care for was the memory flashbacks... I felt like the story could've done without that... Or could've taken less of the story, but in the end it was an enjoyable read.
NEGATIVES:
• Juliet's unnecessary cursing.
• Memory flashbacks... Thing
POSITIVES:
• Zombies were awesome...
• great concept
• loved the world building (Zombie community... Hehe.. He)
• beautifully written
• Romeo and Juliet take
• Book had me reading
